Defence argues for consecutive over concurrent sentencing in Giesbrecht case

During the appeal hearing on Wednesday in the Andrea Giesbrecht case, the Defence argued for a consecutive sentence over a concurrent one, emphasizing the rehabilitation of the appellant during a shorter sentence as she currently faces a “long, harsh and inappropriate” 8.5 years in prison for concealing remains of dead infants in a storage locker.
