Speaking with reporters in Ottawa Wednesday morning, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said his government is engaging with Chinese consular officials regarding the Canadian diplomat detained in China. Trudeau also responded to comments made by U.S. President Donald Trump, saying regardless of what happens in other countries Canada is a country with the rule of law.
