A nurse in Whitby, Ont. is being denied critical insurance benefits from a policy she has with TD Bank even though she needs chemotherapy, radiation and a bone marrow transplant. The bank’s reasoning is that her two rare blood disorders aren’t serious enough, even though her doctors say they’re life-threatening. Sean O’Shea reports.
