Newly elected democratic house members spoke with House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi Friday at her weekly press conference. Rep. Ilhan Omar said the American people don’t want Democrats to be “part of the resistance” against the administration. “What our voters were interested in and what we heard from the American public is that they didn’t want to just send us here to resist and only work on oversight, they wanted to make sure we were insisting on furthering a set of values,” Omar said.
