The temperature drop after that precipitation created some messy conditions on the roads.

In some areas there was even glare ice which causes Highway 7 near Fowlers Corners to be temporarily blocked because cars kept getting stuck on the hills.

City of Kawartha Lakes OPP responded to 10 motor vehicle collisions.

Among the weather-related crashes, emergency crews also responded to a two vehicle crash on Mary Street in Lindsay.
