Mattis defends border mission with citing “Pancho” Villa raid

U.S. Secretary of Defense James Mattis defended the deployment of troops to the southern border by comparing the mission to a 1916 deployment by President Woodrow Wilson to counter forces led by Mexican revolutionary General Francisco “Pancho” Villa.
