Each year, the University of Regina recognizes alumni for their outstanding achievements. This year, Dr. Joana Cook was presented the 2018 Young Alumni Award. Her research focuses on women’s roles in conflict and counter-terrorism, but also women who are involved in violent extremism and join the so-called Islamic State. Focus Saskatchewan host Marney Blunt caught up with Dr. Cook to learn more about her award-winning studies.
