Bank of Canada raises benchmark interest rate at 1.75%

The Bank of Canada’s key interest rate is now at 1.75 per cent, the highest it’s been in nearly a decade, and the fifth increase since the summer of 2017. As Eric Sorensen reports, it could spell trouble for Canadians in debt.
