Bank of Canada Stephen Poloz discussed the increased interest rate to 1.75 percent on Wednesday, saying it’ll keep the economy from overheating which has been positive for housing markets like the GTA and B.C., where biding wars aren’t as frequent and prices have “neutralized.”
