Georgia governor requests federal assistance to deal with Hurricane Michael

Governor Nathan Deal said Wednesday that his government has requested a “federal declaration of emergency,” in anticipation of the economic and physical devastation Hurricane Michael is expected to cause as it blows through Georgia.
