Sat, Sep 29 – A movie that kicked off the Edmonton International Film Festival, The Grizzlies, is a telling tale about the issues faced by northern Indigenous communities. Inspired by a true story, the film showcases the healing power of sport in a small town ravaged by suicide, alcoholism and trauma from residential schools. Julia Wong reports.
