Movie hype good for business, good for reputation, in Port Hope: The world met Port Hope when it served as the backdrop for the remake of “It”, the horror film by Stephen King. Released in 2017 “It”was a giant box office success, bringing in $695 million at the box office. 2 years later, the sequel “Largo” is in production, and the crew has returned to the Lakeshore town in Northumberland County. Kevin Narraway, Marketing and Tourism Manager for Port Hope , speaks with The Morning Show on CHEX about negotiations and keeping the peace, when a movie company moves into the neighbourhood; and drops word of a possible movie studio deal in the works.
