The Boeing B-29 is a rare airplane, only one of two flying today and it will be here until the weekend. You’ll likely see and hear the plane flying over Peterborough this week.

This type of bomber has quite the history and was used to drop an atomic bomb on Nagasaki–the last nuclear attack in our history.

This is all part of the Commemorative Air Force “Airpower History Tour” lands at the Peterborough Airport which takes places Aug 1 to 5th from 9 am – 5 pm. Visitors will have the opportunity to tour and schedule a flight on the historic plane.
