A report published by Peterborough Public Health shows community-driven development planning contributes not only to the betterment of the public but also leads to better all-around health.
The city of Peterborough is making headway in terms of completing its “new” official plan.
The document is big, robust and long overdue as the process which began in 2011 has had to overcome some roadblocks. But once complete, it will help guide development and growth for the next 40 years.
To support the Official Plan, Peterborough Public Health has published a 77-page report with a list of recommendations to help improve the overall physical and environmental health of the area.
