The end of an era for big international trade deals?

The European Union and Japan have signed a major free trade deal, which creates the world’s largest open economic area. It comes less than two years after a similar EU deal with Canada, and is in stark contrast to the isolationist policies of the Donald Trump administration. As Redmond Shannon reports, the timing of this EU-Japan trade deal is no accident.
