Today is the launch of the annual Burgers to Beat MS event.
For the next 5 weeks, participating A&W locations across Canada – including the 2 Peterborough locations – will be participating in the program.
$2 from every teen burger sold will go to the MS Society of Canada.
Anne Driscoll from the Peterborough, Kawartha & Haliburton Chapter of the MS Society says in the last 10 years, $11 million has been raised. The goal is to raise another $2 million this year.
Driscoll says about half the money raised from this event goes towards research..
