At a Wednesday press conference, Officer Brian Glacken of the New York Police Department described how he and his colleagues worked to get Therese Okoumou down from the base of the Statue of Liberty. Okoumou scaled the statue in protest of U.S. immigration policy that has seen children separated from their parents at the U.S.-Mexico border, said a federal official.
