U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Wednesday Republicans were ready to hear from and confirm President Donald Trump’s nominee to replace Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy. Democrats, however, called on McConnell to hold off confirming a nominee in an election year as they did in 2016 with President Barack Obama’s nominee.
