Former NDP MP Paul Dewar launched his new Youth Action Now initiative at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa Tuesday evening. Visibly emotional, he told a crowd of more than 300 people who came to support the launch about how watching young survivors of the Parkland, Fla. high school shooting inspired him to pursue this initiative in the face of his own terminal cancer diagnosis.
