Democratic senate candidate describes D.C. as a ‘dumpster fire’ in new campaign ad

Richard Painter, a Republican-turned-Democrat and former chief White House ethics lawyer for former president George W. Bush, is running to fill the Minnesota senate seat left vacant by Sen. Al Franken and used a literal dumpster fire in a new campaign advertisement as a metaphor for how he views the political environment in Washington, D.C. currently.
