Peterborough Police to show no tolerance this summer for speeders in residential areas

“Speeding” is the number one traffic complaint received by Peterborough police service, and now a new campaign is aimed at getting drivers in the city to stick to the limit.

It’s called “Safe under 7” , and will target any driver doing more than seven kilometres over city speed limits. Traffic Sgt. Peter Sejrup says the seemingly ‘small’ increases in speed can have dramatic effects in a crash.
