Residential school survivor supports film about his story and it’s connection to critical point in Canadian sport

As part of the National Film Board’s AABIZIINGWASHI (WIDE AWAKE):
NFB INDIGENOUS CINEMA, Trent University’s Wenjack Theatre hosted a free screening of the documentary
Niigaanibatowaad: FrontRunners . Bill Chippeway, an Ojibway Speaker, of Lake Manitoba 1st Nation , was one of the long distance runners turned away from the PanAm Games in 1967 , after being told to run toward them as a torch bearer. Chippeway speaks about how the cultural outreach of sharing the film, and his story, contributes to #reconciliation .
