As part of the National Film Board’s AABIZIINGWASHI (WIDE AWAKE):
NFB INDIGENOUS CINEMA, Trent University’s Wenjack Theatre will host a free screening of
Niigaanibatowaad: FrontRunners . Persons featured in the documentary based on the story of residential school students selected to be First Nation torchbearers at the 1967 Pan Am Games. Williams explains how each cultural outreach contributes to #reconciliation .
