Grade 10 students in Ontario have April 10th circled on their calendars, or perhaps, their teachers and parents do. April 10th is the date of the mandatory “Grade 10 Literacy Test”, which is a “diploma requirement”: that means, you must pass THIS test in order to pass high school. Kawartha Pine Ridge Disctric School Board Superintendent Greg Ingram explains the preparation for the test, it’s timing, and what happens if a student has a poor score.
