BC municipalities will also have to pay the new payroll tax

Okanagan city accountants are crunching the numbers after learning that municipalities will also be on the hook for the new payroll tax announced in last week’s provincial budget. Okanagan mayors say the extra tax is going to have be passed on to property owners and some say it’s another example of the province downloading onto the backs of municipalities. Kelly Hayes reports.
