Wed, Feb 28: New Brunswick is hiring 6 new nurse practitioners to improve access to primary health care after concerns were raised this week over a recent staffing shortage that caused a partial shutdown at the Moncton hospital. But with roughly 20,000 people waiting for a family doctor in the province – experts say six new positions will not fill the gap. Shelley Steeves has the story.
