Florida Governor Rick Scott announced Friday what he termed a “major action plan” to help keep Florida students safe. He says among the changes are school safety improvements and keeping guns away from individuals struggling with mental illness. His plan also calls for banning the sale of firearms to anyone under 21 and to have a trained law enforcement officer in every school by the time the 2018 school year begins.
