Softwood lumber remains a ‘trade irritant’ between Canada, U.S.: Freeland

Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland described softwood lumber as a “trade irritant” between the U.S. and Canada following the sixth round of NAFTA negotiations in Montreal, adding that its an issue that continues to create friction between the two countries.
