U.S. House passes spending bill to avoid government shutdown

The House took steps Thursday evening to temporarily fund the government. But it’s unclear if that same bill passed in the House will clear the Senate. Lawmakers are already teeing up the blame game for a potential government shutdown that would begin on the one-year anniversary of President Trump’s inauguration.
