Karen McPherson, MLA for Calgary McKay-Nose Hill, was on the Hawaii Island of Maui on Saturday morning when she received the accidental ballistic missile alert warning issued to cell phones and said it was the calm actions of people around her and a check on social media that confirmed to her the alarm was an accident.
