UN: 2017 a “nightmare year” for children in conflict

A new report by the UN’s agency for children says 2017 was a “nightmare year” for young people trapped in conflict zones. With civil wars raging in the Middle East, North Africa and Eastern Europe, UNICEF says the harm inflicted on children has reached a “shocking scale.” Jeff Semple reports.
