‘Sea Smoke’ rises over Lake Superior as temperatures plunge

Temperatures plunged along Lake Superior on Wednesday, December 27, creating another day of ideal conditions for sea smoke to rise from the lake. Sea smoke forms when the air temperature is far below the temperature of the water below it.
