Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip are now the only British monarch and royal consort to ever celebrate 70 years of marriage. To mark the occasion, the Queen appointed the Duke of Edinburgh a ‘Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order,’ for his services to the Sovereign.
