Community event part of Indigenous Peoples Awareness Month hosted in Cobourg.

According to the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation, residential schools operated in Canada for over 150 years. More than 150,000 children attended these schools and many never returned. Shirley Williams is a survivor who shared her story at the free community event at Cobourg Collegiate Institute a part of Indigenous Peoples Awareness Month.
