Trudeau acknowledges Jewish refugees turned away by Canada

During the unveiling of the National Holocaust Monument in Ottawa, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau recalled the government’s 1939 decision to turn away European Jewish refugees on board the M.S. St. Louis, 254 of which are believed to have died in concentration camps.
