City in crisis: homelessness and drug use on the streets of Penticton

It’s normal for the population of Penticton to skyrocket in the summer – with not just vacationers, but transients as well.
But this year, it’s already reached a whole new level.

Penticton’s mayor says that homelessness has brought open drug use and sometimes even harassment to the streets. He says It’s so bad – the city, is now calling it a crisis.
