Man accused of manslaughter claims self-defence at Kelowna trial

The accused in a Kelowna manslaughter trial broke down crying Thursday as he described the events the night a man was killed with a single punch. Cory Van Gilder is accused of causing the death of a visitor from Ontario. Testifying in his own defence, Van Gilder claims he was acting in self-defence when he delivered the fatal blow. But the prosecutor says there were other options.
