Legal expert ‘shocked and horrified’ over treatment of Alberta sexual assault victim

An aboriginal woman shackled during a court case wasn’t the one on trial. Instead, she was the victim of a violent sexual assault. Investigations are underway into her treatment. Shallima Maharaj speaks with Lise Gotell, chair of the Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund, about the incident.
