In an exclusive interview with NBC News reporter Lester Holt, U.S. President Donald Trump called former FBI Director James Comey a “showboat.” Trump also retracted a portion of his letter dismissing Comey when he said he did not follow the deputy Attorney General’s recommendation in firing him. Trump also discussed his claim that Comey informed him directly that he was not under investigation by the FBI on three separate occasions.
