Scientists monitor fugitive methane emissions for oil and gas industry

Canadians feeling the added pinch of paying carbon tax at the pumps may be shocked to learn the oil and gas industry is leaking an alarming amount of a potent greenhouse gas – methane. Scientists working with an environmental group have been using a special infrared camera to monitor so-called fugitive emissions. Paul Johnson reports.
