How’s this for a road trip? Patrick Bergel, just drove 5,600 kilometres without gas stations, hotels, or even roads — to get to the South Pole. His great-grandfather, the explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton, failed this journey three times, but as Mike Armstrong explains, Bergel has now completed the mission.
