Penticton murder victim was struck at least 26 times with crowbar

We begin tonight in Kelowna where a jury is beginning to hear some of the evidence dealing with the murder of a young mother. The jury learned the victim was struck several times in the head with a crowbar. The killing took place in Penticton more than two years ago. The accused is the great-grandmother of a young boy, and the victim was that young boy’s mother. Kelly Hayes has day-one of testimony from the Kelowna courthouse.
