Ontario to begin tracking opioid overdoses for first time after spike in deaths

Tue, Mar 14: Ontario Health Minister Dr. Eric Hoskins has issued a directive to hospitals with emergency rooms in the province to begin tracking opioid overdoses in near real-time starting April 1. The initiative comes as the Chief Coroner for Ontario released new data showing 710 Ontarians lost their lives in opioid-related deaths in 2015.
