Sun, Mar 12: In the Kootenay, it’s been a harsh winter for B.C.’s elk and deer population. The animals are struggling to find food in the deep snow and avoid predators. Just last week, a herd was hit by a train. As Jennifer Palma reports, locals say the government needs to do a better job managing wildlife populations.
