A senior Palestinian official has reacted to comments made by the US administration which suggested that peace between the Israelis and Palestinians may not come in the form of a two-state solution – a position that could represent a dramatic shift from 20 years of US policy. Speaking in Jericho on Wednesday, Saeb Erekat said that those trying to “bury and destroy” the two state solution would not “get away with it”.
