In March 2015 during her Senate confirmation hearing as deputy attorney general, former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates was grilled by Senator Jeff Sessions about being able to challenge Barack Obama if she disagreed with him. Yates was fired Monday for defying President Donald Trump’s executive order on immigration.
