Immigration Minister Ahmed Hussen said Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been in “frequent contact” with senior officials at the White House for clarification regarding the travel ban and its impact on Canadians. Hussen reiterated that Canadians with a dual citizenship from one of the seven countries affected by the travel ban should still be able to enter the U.S. freely as long as they have a valid Canadian permanent resident card and passport. To knowledge, the immigration minister is not aware of any Canadians stranded at airports.
