Tillerson takes strong stance on Crimea, won’t label Putin a ‘war criminal’

Rex Tillerson told a Senate confirmation hearing Wednesday that he would have provided more military and intelligence support to Ukraine during Russia’s annexation of Crimea, but would not commit to calling Russian President Vladimir Putin a “war criminal” for his country’s role in Syria.
