Canadian prairie grasslands shrinking faster than the Amazon rainforest

We might expect to hear coral reefs and rainforests are under threat in the world, but there’s an ecological crisis on Canada’s Prairies. Over 70 percent of our temperate grasslands are gone, and if the current pace of growth for farms and cities continues, they could be gone within a generation. Reid Fiest reports.
