Detective Sergeant Peter Trimble said he was “pleased” the Danzig Street shooter was sentenced as an adult and that he didn’t think “the public would stand” for the sentencing to happen any other way. Trimble also said the investigation was still ongoing. In 2012, 14-year-old Shyanne Charles and 23-year-old Joshua Yasay were fatally shot while at a community barbecue block party in Scarborough.
